Nathan Rice, PLS, CFS

Nate is president and owner of Rice Surveying Services, PA. Nate’s journey into surveying began at just 14 years old, working as a Land Surveyor’s Assistant. After high school, he explored the hospitality industry, but a desire for a different path led him back to surveying when his father established Rice Surveying Services, PA.

Driven by a love for the outdoors and a fascination with the historical and investigative aspects of surveying, Nate holds an Associate of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Eastern Maine Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering Technology from the University of Maine. He holds his Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of Maine and is a Certified Floodplain Surveyor (CFS).

His professional experience includes over 10 years in the land surveying profession, most recently at Haley Ward where he started as a land surveyor and advanced to project manager and survey supervisor. He took over ownership of Rice Surveying Services from his father in 2025.
